Structured cabling is the set of all the components (cables, connectors, terminal sockets, cabinets, etc.) necessary to create a computer network.
Each workstation (PdL or TO) is served by one or more cables, laid in special ducts or pipes; these cables are connected on one side to telematic sockets installed in suitable wall or floor plates, and on the other to patch panels positioned inside the racks.
